Museum Food Part 3: MoMa and The Modern

It’s hard for us to pick out a favorite museum in New York, but when it comes to modern art there is little argument that the MoMa is most likely the most important.

Their permanent collection holds some of the definitive pieces from artists such as Rothko, Pollock, Giacometti and Rauschenburg. Their exhibitions are often the talk of the art world (even if that talk is sometimes not all great) and the building itself is gorgeous and effortless.

Gorgeous and effortless is also how we would describe MoMA’s restaurant: The Modern.

With an entrance next door to MoMA the dining room looks out onto the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden. So as your taste buds take in Abram Bissell’s two Michelin starred fare, your eyes can luxuriate and ponder some of the finest sculptures the museum has to offer.
